National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as Taiwan Tech) aims to encourage faculty and students to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship, further enhance the connection between Taiwanese entrepreneurial teams and the world, provide opportunities to communicate with various entrepreneurs and experience Silicon Valley as well as American culture, and ultimately bring innovative ideas back to Taiwan. For this reason, Taiwan Tech has pooled its alumni resources to establish the Taiwan Tech Silicon Valley Center in Silicon Valley, United States of America, and to promote the Silicon Valley Entrepreneur Incubation Program of Taiwan Tech (hereinafter referred to as the Program). Through the Program, Taiwan Tech hopes to select campus teams with potential for international market development to travel to Silicon Valley and other regions in the United States. The Program also pools alumni resources and partners with enterprises to organize training, internships, and visits in the United States, thereby allowing startup teams to interact with entrepreneurs from different parts of the world who are willing to share and pass on their entrepreneurial experiences. In addition, the Program aims to gather investors from emerging industries and actively facilitate exchanges with entrepreneurial mentors with successful business experience to help startup teams develop international markets, successfully combine Silicon Valley resources, and effectively boost the development of international innovation and entrepreneurship.
